The purpose for this blog is to provide a venue for AP World History students at Thurgood Marshall High School to express themselves about the historiography of a variety of events in the World's history. Each week a new blog will be posted. All AP World History Students will be required to participate each week in the aforesaid blog. Failure to do so will decrease your grade in this class by 10%.

Early Humans
Does the theory of evolution contradict your world view? Why or why not?
No becuase its just giving us a better understanding and an other perspective of how humans came into the world. And to give us an idea of how we got to where we are now.
I want to say yes because the world is not how it was back then but during the time of the Early Humans they basically paved the way for the humans during the Neolithic times, and then they invented new things to make life easier.
no because i believe that evolution gives us a good explenation of how humans came to be since it delivers with factual evidence such as fossils and cave paintings.
No the theory of evolution does not contradict my beliefs, I believe that man was created by a greater force, but I also believe that we were created using evolution.
I am a seven year teacher who is looking forward to teaching this new and challenging course. I am currently entering my fifth year at MHS, and I could not think of anything else I would rather be doing than teaching. Teaching history provides me an opportunity to help students discover new adventures in our world, one class period at a time. As we embark upon our daily journeys, students will face a number of challenges. By putting our heads together, we will work to turn each challenge into a an accomplishment.
